**Jade Tiger Abalone (JTA)** is focused on the direct delivery of Australian brand Jade Tiger Abalone from our in-house export facilities. JTA is HACCP certified and an AQIS registered establishment for the export of predominately live abalone direct to international and domestic customers.

Jade Tiger Abalone is a unique breed of Australian abalone and was the world's first ASC certified sustainable source of abalone. Situated on the pristine coast of the Bellarine Peninsula, 100 kilometres from Melbourne, Jade Tiger Abalone is headquartered on our fully integrated aquaculture site. Comprising of hatchery, nursery, grow out and export facility, it is Australia's largest environmentally sustainable abalone aquaculture facility. Covering ten hectares, including 400 grow out tanks with a surface area of 20,000 sqm, it is capable of producing over 200mt of abalone per year.

Operations have now expanded to include two additional sites. One at Avalon in Victoria produces 50mt per year and our newest site at Dunalley, on Tasmania's rugged east coast, produces 150mt per year. Our total group production now stands at over 400mt per year of high quality Australian abalone. All Jade Tiger Abalone is grown without use of any antibiotics, growth hormones or other chemicals. Nurtured in the pristine waters of the Great Southern Ocean, Jade Tiger Abalone is fed by the cold, oxygenated and nutrient rich waters that sweep up from the Antarctic. The product is distinct in appearance with a stunning jade green shell and tiger striped foot. It is renowned for its sweet, tender, pearl-white flesh.

The primary role of Aquaculture Attendant is to fulfil the daily husbandry and harvest requirements to maximize abalone growth, health and living conditions. This position requires employees to constantly maintain a clean and safe work environment. Other duties will be required on a regular basis as directed by their supervisor. this position reports to the Production Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the cleaning of slabs and ponds.
- Feed or assist with feeding, grading and sorting abalone.
- Remove and dispose of dead or dying abalone.
- Harvest or assist with harvesting abalone.
- Move abalone stock to new slabs or ponds.
- Operate pumps and other equipment.
- In addition to performing some or all of the above functions may be required to accept responsibility for acting in a minor supervisory capacity in directing the work of other employees.
- Perform any other related duties as may be required from time.

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be physically fit, able to perform manual labour.
- Good observational skills Enjoy outdoor work.
- Manual drivers licence would be an advantage.
- Experience working on other aquaculture farms would be an advantage.
- Fork Lift licence advantage.
