The Business Manager plays a critical leadership role, ensuring strategic alignment of all business operations with the school's mission and departmental policies.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities Include:
Exercise considerable autonomy and provide expert advice that influences business service delivery outcomes. You will inspire innovation, model best practice, and manage competing priorities to ensure sustainable and strategic service delivery.
Operate in a complex, evolving school environment, developing policies, operational methods, and systems that support administrative functions. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the capacity to create and implement solutions in a dynamic setting.
Lead and manage human resources across school support teams by identifying emerging talent, promoting high performance, and mentoring staff toward professional growth. In partnership with the Principal, you will oversee recruitment, workforce planning, training, and performance management. Strategic HR leadership will be key to ensuring the school's capability now and into the future.
Manage and deliver financial operations, including budget development, performance monitoring, and reporting. You will provide strategic financial advice to the Principal, ensuring fiscal compliance, efficiency, and forward planning aligned with best practice and departmental requirements.
Oversee the school's facilities, infrastructure, and resources, playing a vital role in managing maintenance, capital works, and asset registers. You will advise on and implement stage-two build plans, contributing to the development of a state-of-the-art learning environment.
Drive resource planning and service delivery innovation, ensuring operations support the school's strategic direction. You will use modern digital tools and technologies to improve systems and enhance outcomes across the school.
Engage and communicate with stakeholders, including staff, students, parents, community members, and departmental partners, fostering collaboration and shared understanding. You'll play a key role in interpreting policies, delivering training, and modelling a high-performance culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement.
Actively participate in and influence school and community networks, bringing external best practice into Corymbia and helping to shape an innovative, connected learning environment.

About You
