WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Lead Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) Manager role is part of our Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) DSM Planning Team in Pacific. This role will give you the opportunity to drive the strategy and develop robust seasonal demand forecasts and long-range plans for the business. You will determine Nike Pacific's digital market size and shape.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will develop seasonal retail sales, margin, open to buy (OTB) and inventory plans based on Nike's strategy, in collaboration with cross functional teams aimed at maximizing consumer demand. You will gather data & insights from internal and external sources, to engage with various partners to determine how much Consumer Demand we can capture, including leading validation exercises against the plans. You will work across a medium-term horizon of 18 months, to track and review the seasonal forecasts and develop action plans to maximise opportunities and mitigate risk for sales, margin and inventory. You will also lead strategic quarterly long range collaboration planning across a 3-year horizon.

You are required to understand the key shifts in retail (demand and supply) and the impact on current forecasts (retail KPIs), primarily focusing on short range. You will provide strategic and operational guidance to the Territory cross functional teams, conduct ongoing risks and opportunity assessments of merchandise financial plans and be the super user of MFP tool(s); act as a key enabler to improve the tool usage and functionalities to communicate to partners and leaders. You are expected to deliver clear and compelling storytelling for transparent communications to stakeholders

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will report to the Director for NDDC Planning and work closely with the Demand and Supply Management (DSM) planning team, members of the NDDC Marketplace Team, cross functional stakeholders across Merchandising, Consumer Analytics, Finance, Operations, Marketing and Geo DSM/NDDC teams to deliver revenue, margin and inventory productivity goals for Nike.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven track record in retail, assortment and/or merchandising planning, inclusive of scenario planning across revenue, margin and inventory.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, MS Windows and the ability to be a quick learner for new systems & tools
- Knowledge of PLAN Tool or O9 environment preferred. Knowledge of macroeconomics and econometrics preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence others; efficiently communicate complex and/or critical topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience; experience working with highly diverse international team preferred. Proven understanding of cross team calibration; international experience preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of retail math; ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business.
- Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred.
