Our client is a market leading distributor of Lubrication and Fuel Transfer Equipment in Australia. They are now looking to appoint a Territory Manager (WA) who will report into the General Manager.
The scope of the role will include a combination of existing account management and new business development in a high potential metropolitan and regional territory.
The purpose of the position is to achieve and exceed the annual sales targets, assist the company to grow by strengthening existing relationships with customers and diversifying the customer base with new customers, uphold the company vision, mission and values when dealing with all external and internal business stakeholders.
Suitable applicants will come from a similar sales role within the oil or automotive industry that have a mechanical and technical aptitude.
This role requires a high level of personal drive and motivation and the ability to work autonomously and remotely. Resilience and ability to adapt quickly to change, working from a home office, this is a high performing territory role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement structured existing business account visitation plan. Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly.
- Develop annual business plan for existing customers across each customer segment (A to D). Review plan quarterly with Direct Manager.
- Assist in annual budget setting.
- Regular management and follow up of quotations.
- Management and participation in customer tenders when required and following company procedures.
- Develop, maintain and execute on prospective customer account list.
- Assist in setting and executing marketing incentives for the entire customer base, certain customer segments or markets or certain individual customers. Drive and support marketing campaigns for the company.
- Assist in technical training for customers with Technical Product Specialist.
- Attendance and participation at planned trade shows.
- Full responsibility for professional and technical development and participation in training & development programs as set by management.
- Record all new product or existing product innovation ideas as sourced from customers or industry contacts.
