Permanent Part Time - 30hrs per fortnight

- Increased Rate and Responsibility for experienced Care Workers
Bolton Clarke is Australia's largest independent, not-for-profit aged care provider shaping the future of positive ageing. With RSL Queensland and the Royal District Nursing Service at the heart of our DNA, we have been caring for Australians since 1885. Today, our exceptional teams support more than 130,000 people to live independently at home and across our **43** retirement living communities and 88 residential aged care homes. Everything we do is dedicated to enabling, celebrating and supporting older Australians to live and age positively.
We are looking for a **Personal Care Worker** who is wanting to step up and have more responsibility
Ideally suited to passionate individuals with a Certificate III (Individual Support), you will work across a group of residents and their families to ensure they experience exceptional resident care.
As a **Care Champion** you will not have direct reports, but you would indirectly lead other Personal Care workers within your home.
You may also be required to help deliver care to residence to assist other personal care workers. You would be an important member of our Home Leadership team, playing a vital role in delivering the best care to our residents and champion Bolton Clarke's purpose in helping people live a life of fulfillment each and every day.
**The Role**
- A frontline advocate for a group of residents. You will take ownership of residents' wellbeing and care by maintaining a schedule of check-ins to ensure all their needs are met.
- Understand each resident you care for as an individual with unique needs and encourage regular feedback (formal and informal)
- Proactively problem solve and attend to gaps in resident needs through collaboration and teamwork. Communicate and work with the care team to ensure consistent and high-quality resident care and support.
- Demonstrate the Bolton Clarke Values-in-practice to foster a culture of kindness, curiosity and great care
- To be the day-to-day relationship link for families, keeping them up to date with the care and wellbeing needs of the resident.
- Build strong and inclusive relationships by communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff team members.
**Requirements**:
- Strong and clear verbal communication skills
- Good care knowledge
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of compliance requirements
- Good systems knowledge and IT skills
- All mandatory learning up to date
- Team coordination or coaching skills (desirable)
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent (required)
**30 hours per fortnight**
**Successful applicants must complete a National Police Check, provide proof of Flu & COVID-19 Vaccination and possibly complete an NDIS Worker Screen.**
