**Description**:
About the role
The Practice Support Supervisor will provide support and advice to the Medical Reception Team, ensuring the medical administration function is conducted in an accurate and time sensitive manner; it is therefore an essential requirement that the Practice Support Supervisor is competent in working autonomously with an attention to detail. The Practice Support Supervisor will actively contribute to the ongoing development of best-practice Medical Administration and Quality Improvement Frameworks and will be responsible for by improving health care by assisting the practice manager.
Duties
- Provide effective leadership and support to the medical receptionist team.
- Actively contribute to the implementation of the Model of Care.
- Ensure efficient patient flow though effective management of the clinic calendars.
- Ensure appropriate handling of GP referrals.
- Emphasis on leading and supporting the function of the medical reception.

**Benefits**:
- Annual salary of $62,064, salary inclusive of the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging equivalent to $74,541, plus super. (Salary packaging provides for up to $15,900 of your salary to be tax free on top of the tax-free threshold and can be applied to living expenses such as mortgage repayments or rent, meals, entertainment, and accommodation).

**Skills and Experiences**:
COVID-19 requirements
- Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid 19 vaccine.
Required
- Current Blue Card or willingness to apply.
- Current Yellow Card or willingness to apply.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR.
- Certificate III Business Administration (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working in an administration and /or service coordination role.
- Experience working within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service.
- Previous experience working with an electronic Patient Management System such as MMEx
- Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS) and the Medicare system and Practice Incentive Programs (PIP).
Preferred
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and understand the cycle of care patient system.
- Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture and ways of doing business.
- Demonstrated organisation skills, including an ability to multi-task, to plan, set and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, and to work independently, efficiently and effectively.
- Knowledge of and experience working with - AGPAL, PIP IHI Revenue and MBS (Medicare Billing Schedule).
