Description
As a Customer Service Officer, you will provide excellent customer service and assist passengers checking in in a seamless manner.
You will be the face of the company to clients and passengers, placing the customers' needs at the heart of all tasks.
Shifts are on a rotating roster (Monday - Sunday) with start times as early as 02:30am and finish times as late as 12:30am, depending on flight schedules and delays.
Successful candidates will need to pass a pre-employment medical before beginning in the role.
Key responsibilities
Deliver check in services on behalf of Star Aviation and its Airline customers in the correct application.
Operate in a safe environment and demonstrate a clear understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Welcome passengers at the terminal counter in a polite manner.
Compare information on tickets with passenger data to ensure accuracy.
Check bookings and issue boarding passes.
Educate passengers about airport security protocols and luggage allowances.
Direct passengers to the correct gate for their flight.
Represent the Airline and Star to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
Ensure safe and secure operation of all equipment.
Perform Boarding Gate duties including public announcements as required by clients.
Complete Passenger Marshalling duties maintaining a safe and secure environment as required by clients.
Assist wheelchair passengers, including pushing wheelchairs when needed.
Complete relevant documentation and provide accurate information to passengers.
Operate lifting devices in accordance with airline-approved transfer methods to assist wheelchair passengers.
Assist wheelchair passengers with transferring between wheelchairs and personal devices and vice versa.
Assist wheelchair passengers with maneuvering luggage from the baggage belt onto a trolley.
Collect and ensure equipment (wheelchairs, E-Caddy, etc.) is available where needed and stored properly.
Assist customers in locating family or friends at drop-off points within the airport as requested.
Perform basic administration duties.

The ideal candidate
A valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) or ability to obtain one.
Experience with Aviation/Airline industry is desirable.
A valid driver's license to commute to work.
Ability to perform duties at a high standard of customer service.

Excellent organization and time management; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
