**The Opportunity**
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an **Accounts Receivable Manager** to join our Sydney office. You will be responsible for managing an Accounts Receivable team (predominantly Sydney based) and an offshore team, driving best practices in cash collections, liaising with project managers and administrators across the region, overseeing process improvements and achievement of key KPIs such as DSO. The Accounts Receivable Manager reports to the General Manager, Finance Planning and Control and has an active role in the success of the finance department.
**What you'll do**:
- Build and lead a highly effective team to support WSP's businesses and projects
- Provide day to day leadership of the Accounts Receivable Team, including an offshore team
- Drive cash collections for the Australian businesses
- Monitoring aged debts and liaising with collections officers and business stakeholders
- Tracking DSO, targeting risk areas and assisting project managers to achieve KPIs
- Debt and invoice reporting to the finance leaders and business group managers partnering and support
- Supporting the collections team to maximise cash inflows and resolution of queries and payments
- Monitoring collections, and AR reports and collection trends
- Maintaining debtor management policies to assist the business
- Setting and monitoring collections targets for the AR officers
- Strategies to maximise cash collections and provide training where required
- Resolution of issues with unidentified payments and overpayments
- Following up queries with AR team, clients and internal project management teams
- Manage new client setup procedures in the ERP system
- Maintenance of process documentation for compliance
**What we'll love about you**:
- 7+ years' experience in high volume transactional environments, industry experience in engineering consultancy preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and lead an effective team
- Establishes and maintains relationships (internal and external). Customer service focus to business partnering
- Highly organised and good time management skills, able to meet unexpected workflow demands and strict deadlines
- Excellent understanding of accounts receivable functions
- Excellent excel skills
- Excellent systems knowledge in AR including large ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Unit4 an advantage), MS Office and KPI reporting.
