The Department of Education's priority and focus remains on appointing merit-based, permanent staff.

Our Division
SRT ensures high performance for the Department by giving senior leaders visibility into system performance and improvements. They achieve this by delivering strategic projects as expected, collecting and analysing data, and reporting on performance.
The Transformation Office researches the viability of concepts and develops recommendations that guide strategic development, business improvement, and transformational initiatives, preparing the Department for the future.
The Program Management Office drives and provides oversight of responses and initiatives that facilitate the delivery of the Department's strategic intent; using project management methodologies to underpin collaboration, standardisation, and the on-time, on-budget delivery of key project metrics.
Business Intelligence (BI) has responsibility for the Department's strategy, which includes the continuous improvement and maturity of data collection, storage, and analysis to enable executive dashboards for senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and mitigate key enterprise risks. The System Assurance team supports the Corporate Executive and governance committees through services such as monitoring government and Minister priorities, ensuring compliance, enabling senior leadership decision-making, and assurance of system performance.
