Our skilled crews and state-of-the-art aircraft operate to the highest safety and performance standards possible, ensuring vital missions are carried out with precision, professionalism, and care.About the RoleOur team is growing, and we are seeking a number of LAMES (B1 & B2) to join us at our Hobart / Cambridge Airport Facility Supporting the StarFlight Australia Aeromedical, SAR and Air Law Enforcement operations for the people and State of Tasmania.Working a 7/7 roster, reporting to the SBE you will be responsible for conducting planned and unplanned maintenance activities working initially on B412 before transitioning to a new fleet of H145-D3 Helicopters.Provide mentoring, leadership, as a LAME for any of the assigned AMEs and ApprenticesEnsure facilities are compliant to AMO MOE and Regulatory standardsPromote and support reporting culture for all Safety, Quality related mattersFacilitate and support Risk Assessments, ORR investigationsAircraft Inspections: scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft systems, structures, and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulations.Aircraft Maintenance and Repair: Executing maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of aircraft parts and systems.Aircraft Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation, to ensure regulatory compliance and traceability.Aircraft Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to ensure the maintenance personnel, pilots, and regulatory authorities to coordinate maintenance activities and address safety concerns.About YouYour approach to safety, attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards and company procedures are essential in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our aircraft documentation.
You will also possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:CASA Part 66 B1.3 or B2 LicenceB412 Type Rating - MandatoryH145-D3 Type Rating (desirable)Full-time working rights in Australia - MandatoryComprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and their maintenance requirements.Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements and standards, particularly regarding airworthiness and maintenance control.An understanding of company policies and procedures (MOE and SMS)Basic computer literacyAbility to communicate effectively with all levels within a teamBe practical and resourceful with demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skillsBe resourceful with a can-do attitudeWhat's in it for you?
