**Role Description/Criteria**

Our Lady's Primary School in Surrey Hills is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Performing Arts Teacher with a passion for teaching music, to join our talented specialist teaching team in 2025. The position will be a part-time contract position for 1 year,

There is a possibility of ongoing employment. This position will involve teaching across all year levels (Prep - 6). The teaching days will be Tuesday and Thursday.

The position will commence on 28 January 2025. Our Lady's is committed to the safety, well-being, and protection of all children in our care.

The 2025 school year will also be a whole school production year - experience with whole school performances is a definite advantage.

We are seeking a teacher who is committed to working collaboratively with their colleagues to provide a differentiated learning and teaching program that puts each student at the centre of all they do, growing the skills of our students in the areas of the performing arts.

The successful applicants will need to demonstrate:

- a strong commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education
- the ability to develop relationships with parents, staff and students
- an understanding of current curriculum documents and contemporary high impact teaching and learning strategies
- an ability to provide learning experiences that are cognitively engaging, to a range of learning styles and abilities
- an ability to use data and assessment tools to improve student learning outcomes
- the ability to work as a team
- an ability to use digital technologies to enhance the learning for the students
