Part-Time Afternoon Housekeeping Nanny - Double Bay

Our warm and active family in Double Bay is seeking an experienced, caring, and organised nanny to provide high-quality care for their twin toddlers. Both parents work full-time, and the children's grandmother, who works one day a week, is looking for additional support to share some responsibilities with the nanny.

The ideal nanny will be warm, reliable, and experienced with young children. They will be organised, proactive, and able to balance childcare with light housekeeping. The nanny should be confident in managing toddler routines, including safety awareness, and happy to collaborate with Grandma and parents while taking initiative in their absence.

The nanny's day will begin by arriving at 2:30 pm to begin household tasks, such as managing child-related housekeeping like laundry, folding, and tidying. The nanny will also assist with meal preparation, cooking simple meals for the children and preparing extra for the parents when needed. Vacuuming common areas will be required as necessary. The nanny will supervise the twins' evening routine, which includes bathing, dinner, and playtime. The children will be engaged with storytime, pretend play, crafts, and interactive activities. The twins return home between 4:00 - 4:30 pm, either with Grandma or a parent. The nanny will take over care until a parent steps in at 6:00 - 6:30 pm.

Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

- Building a strong relationship with the children
- Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
- Organising and planning fun, creative, and engaging activities
- Managing light household chores
- Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for the family
- Maintaining and learning all aspects of the family's routine

- Non-smoker
- Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain ASAP)
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience working full-time with children
- A minimum of 2 Australian-based child-related references
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain ASAP)
- Current National Criminal Record Check
- Excellent communication skills

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
