We are looking for an experienced **Accounts Payable Team Leader** to ensure our suppliers are paid in accordance with trading terms and all AP activities are completed within established deadlines.

You will provide support and mentor the Accounts Payable Team Members and encourage an environment where the team is motivated and equipped to perform tasks according to standards and procedures at an optimum level whilst making improvements.

You will be hands on, highly organised and detail oriented, and have demonstrable experienced working in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring our top 30 supplier statements & ad-hoc requests are correctly reconciled
- Collaborate with the AP Officers on reconciliations that require attention or investigation
- Provide hands on support & training to the AP team
- Review the OCR lists & ensure validation issues are resolved
- Ensure supplier accounts are paid in accordance with company procedures
- Oversee payment runs
- Process & reconcile purchase returns

**You will need to demonstrate**:

- Clear & confident communication style
- 5+ years' experience in full-function Accounts Payable position in a high-volume AP function
- Experience leading/mentoring a team
- Intermediate Excel with proficiency in Vlookup & pivot tables
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement
- Proactive approach to work

You will enjoy being hands on, juggling competing priorities, demonstrate a high level of initiative, have excellent time management and communication skills and confidence liaising with a varied audience.
