Geotechnical Technician

We have a fantastic opportunity for a **Geotechnical Laboratory Technician **to join our busy team based in Artarmon. The primary functions of this role will see you performing soil, rock and ag gregate tests in the laboratory allowing you to draw on your experience and assist our wider Geotechnical Engineering team.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Demonstrated operation understanding of AS1289, AS1141, AS4133 and TfNSW Standards
- Possess a Certificate 2/3 or 4 laboratory operations applicable to Construction materials testing (preferred)
- Self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision.
- Well organised, able to simultaneously manage several disparate jobs over varying timescales and maintain required schedules.
- Adaptable, able to comprehend and implement new or infrequently performed test methods with limited specific training and practice.
- A strong commitment to safety in the workplace
- Physical abilities consistent with the manual handling requirements of sample preparation testing and site duties.
- At least 2 years' experience in CMT / geotechnical testing
- Participation in further training and development
- Current drivers licence
- Current Nuclear Gauge Licence (preferred)
