Exciting opportunity to join a State Government Department as an Engagement Coordinator

**Your new company**

A State Government Department is looking for an Engagement Coordinator to join their team. This role requires you to work full time hours, on an initial temporary basis.

**Your new role**

As an experienced an Engagement Coordinator your daily duties will include but won't be limited to:

- Work closely with the Director Strategic Stakeholder Engagement, providing stakeholder engagement advice and services
- Represent the team with internal and external stakeholders when required
- Coordinate, design, deliver and evaluate best practice engagements
- Prepare engagement strategies and plans for the Department's community and stakeholder projects
- Assist with delivery of community and stakeholder consultation and engagement services for projects across the Department
- Assist project teams to analyse and assess risks associated with community and stakeholder engagement on a project or issue
- Support the planning, design, implementation, review and evaluation of stakeholder tools and processes as defined in the Department's Engagement Framework.
- Prioritise and co-ordinate the delivery of stakeholder engagement activities
- Support a culture of continuous improvement and solution focused thinking
- Undertakes other duties as required.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in the design and delivery of best practice stakeholder engagement for complex matters
- Demonstrate success in the development and implementation of effective, innovative and integrated stakeholder engagement programs.
- Ability to think strategically and an understanding of the Department and its priorities
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively build collaborative working relationships, in a team environment.
- Highly developed writing and editing skills
- Highly developed project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, prioritise deliverables and achieve outcomes and results.
