**The Role**

Ventia are currently looking to engage an experienced **Grounds Person** on a permanent basis. This position will see you working at RAAF Defence Base Bullsbrook, within a well-established maintenance team. This role will see you maintain a wide variety of built and natural Parks assets including streetscapes, training grounds, verges, playgrounds, sporting and recreational grounds.

**_The Grounds Maintenance Team are responsible for, but not limited to:_**
- Operation of Tractor
- Mowing of Turf areas, verges and firebreaks
- Weed Control/Herbicide use
- Reticulation operation and minor repairs
- Garden Maintenance (mulching, pruning, hedging, weeding etc.)
- Use of plant & equipment such as; ride on and push mowers, brush cutters, blowers, edger's, hedgers, spraying equipment etc.
- General labouring
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Current C class driver's license
- Ideally have industry experience in a similar parks & gardens or landscaping role
- Qualifications in Horticulture or Conservation & Land Management desirable but not essential
- Chemical and Chainsaw certificates desirable but not essential
- Able to Pass a Pre-employment medical including a Drug and Alcohol screen
- Will need a great attitude, a good work ethic and complete tasks without supervision.
