Discipline Manager – Water, Environment & Industrial roles call for leadership of large teams, hands-on technical leadership, and delivery of meaningful infrastructure projects.
This role focuses on guiding and growing a talented team and contributing to SA's built environment across water, defence, buildings, industrial, transport and civil infrastructure sectors.
This is more than a management role—it's about bringing people together, building belonging, and growing professionally while delivering projects that matter.
Position Overview
You'll be at the heart of a high-performing, collaborative team, mentoring future leaders, shaping technical excellence, and directly influencing outcomes across iconic projects.

Deliver technically excellent designs and guide project teams through all phases—from concept to delivery.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to develop tailored solutions, prepare proposals and support business growth.
Managing project budgets, team resources, and ensuring the highest standard of delivery.
Qualifications
A degree in Chemical Engineering, or a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded.
15+ years of consulting/design experience.
A collaborative approach to leadership and problem-solving.
Chartered Engineer (CPEng) status (or ability to attain within 6 months).
Proven experience managing teams and delivering complex projects.
Technical expertise in water, defence and/or industrial infrastructure, complemented by a well-connected business network in SA to help strengthen and grow our local capability.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire others.
