Creswick Woollen Mills is family-owned with a proud history dating back to 1947. The site is currently used for manufacturing, production and warehousing. There is also the main iconic Woollen Mill retail store with an interactive museum and animal farm.

**About the role**
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our team at Creswick Woollen Mills in Creswick, VIC.

Based in our manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for operating sewing machine production, cutting and packing. This is a casual position with an average of 25 hours per week. Option for more hours in peak periods. Factory hours are Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4pm.

**What you'll be doing**
- Operating industrial sewing machines
- Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality control throughout the sewing process
- Collaborating with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders
- Identifying and resolving any issues or process improvements
- Understanding of products, bill of materials, quality checks and required daily reporting
- Able to cut, fold and pack finished products
- Adhering to all health, safety and workplace procedures

**What we're looking for**
- Previous minimum 3-5 years experience as a Sewing Machine Operator, preferably in a manufacturing or têxtile environment
- Strong technical skills and the ability to operate industrial sewing machines proficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the production team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and priorities
- Good physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks
