About the role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sewing Machinist to join our team at Quality Trim in Boronia, VIC. As a Sewing Machinist, you will be responsible for the efficient and high-quality manufacture of a variety of textile products. We specialize in Custom Commercial Upholstery also including Aged Care Furniture, seating and much more. This is a full-time or part time position, offering the opportunity to contribute to the successful operations of our leading manufacturing company.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble and construct textile products according to specifications
  • Perform quality checks throughout the production process to ensure the final product meets our high standards
  • Cutting and sewing from patterns provided, also efficient in pattern making as required

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience as a Sewing Machinist, with a strong understanding of industrial sewing techniques and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret patterns and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
