**Our Opportunity**
The position of Data Cabling Technician requires a person with strong experience in data cabling and comms room fit-out works as well as general electrical installation and maintenance experience. This position also provides leadership and is responsible for all workplace Apprentices under their direction and control.
**Your New Role**
This position may lead a crew or can operate independently depending on the type of activities required to be performed, which may include but are not limited to installation, maintenance, repair and service of electrical power, communications, lighting and control systems in a range of industries and environments.
The Data Cabling Technician will be responsible for:
- Health & Safety
- Planning & Scheduling
- Quality Control
- Leadership & Supervision
- Administration
- Comply with Internal Policies/Procedures
**About You**
- Electrical experience in Service and maintenance
- Strong data cabling experience
- Completed White Card (essential)
- Electrical Licence (essential)
- Elevated Work Platform (EWPA card) (essential)
- First Aid certificate (desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously
- Must be flexible and adaptable with the ability to multi-task, ensure deadlines and client priorities are met
- Able to communicate effectively in writing with strong attention to detail, is organised and competent to manage time and administrative duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with a diverse team including subcontractors
- A proactive and motivated attitude with a willingness to develop and learn new skills.
- Knowledge of and experience with the implementation and compliance of safety requirements, processes and procedures
- Strong industry knowledge based on a number of trades and extremely competent in interpreting drawings
- Able to identify problems early and find solutions. Be assertive and proactive to resolve problems efficiently
