Job DescriptionScientific and Regulatory Affairs Specialist Opportunity for a 12 month contract role in a global FMCG organisation Flexible work arrangement – 3 days in office, 2 days remote Location: Southbank, Victoria The Regulatory Affairs Specialist ensures food law compliance for Kraft Heinz products sold in Australia and New Zealand by reviewing label documentation, monitoring regulatory changes, and providing support to various teams.
The role also involves maintaining product information systems and engaging with industry groups to stay up-to-date on food policy and nutrition trends, ultimately ensuring compliance and providing regulatory expertise to support the business.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to: Assist R&D with product formulation and recipes for regulatory compliance Ensure nutrition aspects of recipes and products consider global guidelines Train staff on labelling systems and guidelines Verify ingredient and product information Ensure accurate and compliant labelling and claims Collaborate with Legal, Marketing, and CST on consumer and industry queries Contribute to industry working groups and discussions on food regulation Submit responses to regulatory proposals and applications Arrange and review product analysis for compliance Provide regulatory input on new product development and product improvements Maintain systems for accurate and timely labelling and artwork approvals Collaborate on project teams to provide regulatory expertise and knowledge.
About you: Relevant Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Food Legislation, R&D, Specifications Administration, QA, Technical Operations, with a background in the food industry and application of food science/technology knowledge Food Science Knowledge: Good understanding of food ingredients, additives, and regulations to support ingredient specification and apply food science knowledge.
Regulatory Awareness: Awareness of food regulations and experience with food legislation to ensure compliance.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
Personal Qualities: Demonstrates a "can-do" attitude, detail orientated, takes accountability for actions, and maintains a customer-focused approach.
Operational Skills: Possesses exceptional organizational and computer skills, with the ability to work under pressure and balance risk and reward.
