ELECTRICAL AND DATA APPRENTICE WANTED
Managed Solutions is an Ipswich-based Technology Company with over 50 staff - and we provide a wide range of services including electrical, voice, data, and security cabling and systems.
We currently have opportunities for people interested in a career in electrical and data to join our growing team.
Our core business is based in Ipswich with our focus on small business and commercial customers primarily from Toowoomba to the Gold Coast and Brisbane city.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The ideal person must have an interest in electrical and technology, and must be practical and keen for a hands-on approach to work.
You will be supervised by a qualified electrician/technician and will form part of the infrastructure team who will train you in the relevant fields:
Installation and termination of communications, data, and security cabling and wiring/connection to the relevant systems
Diagnosing and Fault Finding using multi-meters, cable tracing tools, and data testing equipment
Electrical installations
As our ideal candidate, you will need to:
be comfortable with heights and working in ceiling spaces,
have basic skills using hand tools eg. screwdrivers, pliers and battery drills.
have an aptitude and commitment to wanting to learn and develop skills
You should be clean, well-presented, and able to communicate and speak clearly.
Our relationship with our customers is based on our customer service focus and we build strong relationships with customers and each other.
We expect you would be proud of the work you produce, you are clean and tidy on the job, and have a problem-solving attitude to your work.
You will be comfortable using computers and tablet devices – our systems are all online, and many of the technologies that you will help install are computer-related.
You are energetic, safety-focused, and have a happy and positive attitude.
We view this as a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
In addition to your normal work function, you would be required to keep tools, workshop spaces, and vehicles in good order.
The working days are Monday-Friday. You may be required to work slightly longer days on occasion to get the job done with time off in lieu (TOIL) or penalty rates for any overtime.
We very rarely do weekend work but occasionally it may be necessary.
YOU MUST:
have a Driver's License - manual preferred
obtain a Police Check and Blue Card
have or obtain a Construction White Card
be able to read fluently, write legibly and comfortably use a computer
Manage stock of a vehicle
Ability to work autonomously, on your own initiative, and productively in a team environment

Commercial Installation, Maintenance & Repairs covering electrical and data
Domestic Maintenance & Repairs (minimal)
Periodic Testing (RCDs, Emergency Lights, Test Tagging)
Switchboard & Meter Box Upgrades
Split System Air Conditioning Installation
Infrastructure Installation for:
Structured CAT6/CAT6A Data Cabling
Optical Fibre
Audio Visual - MATV, Distributed Audio and Paging Systems
Security Cabling - Access Control, Alarms and CCTV
