We have several departments including small pets, bird & reptile, aquarium and online and we pride ourselves on the specialised knowledge our passionate team can offer in these areas. Sometimes, we have a few gaps that we need to fill with the right person.

**Small Pets Department Sales Assistant**

We're on the lookout for a sales assistant in our small pets department (dogs, cats & rodents). Hours are flexible within a 7 day roster. We're looking for someone who has first-hand experience looking after these pets and who will thrive in our busy store - helping other pet-lovers look after their fur-babies.

**We're looking for a bright and hardworking individual who**:

- Has a keen interest and experience with dogs, cats, rats, mice & guinea pigs
- Has excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Has a genuine passion for pets & assisting their pet parents
- Thrives in a team environment
- Has proven retail sales skills
- Has a positive, can-do, go-getter attitude
- Is available on weekends & public holidays

**The role**:
At Pet City, we pride ourselves on the passion and knowledge of our team. In this role, you will primarily be assisting dog, cat & rodent customers by providing valuable information and product recommendations to help their pets live their best lives

The role also entails maintaining animal enclosures as well as restocking, merchandising and tidying retail areas as needed.

Experience with animal husbandry is highly regarded but not essential.

A casual position is currently available for this role, however for the right applicant, a more permanent position may also be available.

**Cashier Sales Assistant**:
We're on the lookout for a superstar front counter sales assistant. Hours are flexible within a 7 day roster. We're looking for someone who will thrive in our busy store - helping other pet-lovers look after their fur-babies.

The role also entails recommending various flea, tick and worming treatments to customers, as well as completing general administration tasks, restocking and tidying retail areas as needed.

We're on the lookout for a sales assistant in our Aquarium department (Freshwater & Marine). Hours are flexible within a 7 day roster. We're looking for someone who is experienced with marine and/or freshwater aquariums who will thrive in our busy store - helping other aquarium enthusiasts maintain their setup.

**We're looking for a bright and hardworking individual who**:

- Has a keen interest and knowledge of maintaining an aquarium
- Has excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Enjoys sharing valuable advice with other aquarium enthusiasts

- Has previous retail experience
