**Are you a Brisbane-based Civil or Environmental Engineer with 2 or more years post-grad experience on civil & mining construction projects?**

Then we have a great opportunity for you to join us to strengthen our Head Office HSE team in Brisbane.

**About the role**:
Focusing on promoting safe behaviour and a zero environmental harm culture across civil and mining construction projects throughout Qld and NSW, duties include but are not limited to the following:

- Communicating the intent of company environmental strategy, policies, objectives, and targets;
- Assisting with the orientation of new staff including training;
- Identifying environmental risks to the business and the maintenance of risk registers;
- Providing company event reporting and maintaining environmental performance reporting systems;
- Reviewing environmental performance data to identify trends, corrective and preventive actions;
- Identifying and implementing strategies to eliminate or reduce harm to the environment;
- Participating in the maintenance of company environmental accreditations;
- Conducting internal environmental audits in accordance with the schedule;
- Assisting Precontracts with submissions and information for prequalifications, tenders, and EOIs including highlighting any permits, notifications, or authorities required for works;
- Representing the business to external parties in relation to the environment.

**About you**:
To join our team, you will need the following:

- A degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or a Civil Engineering degree with minors and/or a diploma in Environmental Engineering/Science;
- Experience working within civil & mining construction projects in Australia;
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to project locations as and when required;
- Proven ability to identify, develop, plan, and oversee the implementation of appropriate environment programs, policies, and procedures;
- Capability to provide advice, and prepare and present detailed reports to managers on environmental matters;
- Excellent communication skills, including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders;
- Be an Australian citizen/permanent resident or have a current visa allowing you the right to work in Australia.
