**_ About the role_**

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Financial Assurance Analyst to join our Retail Finance team on a 12-month max term contract. Your work will be integral in reducing risk around key accounting estimates while supporting the development and optimisation of accrual models. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving into data, refining processes, and enhancing efficiency.

**_ What you'll do_**
- Track, monitor, and report on accrued revenue and network cost balances, providing valuable insights to key stakeholders
- Work with large datasets to identify trends, validate financial models, and provide actionable insights
- Assist in building and optimising revenue and cost accrual models to improve reporting accuracy
- Continuously refine and enhance financial processes, leveraging automation and data-driven solutions

**_Your experience _**
- Qualified CA or CPA professional with audit or forensic audit experience gained within a complex and fast paced environment
- Strong data reconciliation skills, particularly handling large datasets coupled with a proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of SQL and PowerBI (desirable)
- A passion for process improvement and a drive to enhance financial operations
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage with colleagues across multiple locations
- Experience in energy markets or Australian Gas and Electricity Markets (desirable)
