About the Role
- 18 month fixed term contract in our Credit Collections team
- Can be based in Melbourne or Adelaide

In this role you will be an integral addition in the Complex Collections team - responsible for managing & optimising high value & highly aged debt collections across AGL's most indebted residential customers. The team ultimately aims to identify opportunities to resolve customer indebtedness upstream and improve customer engagement in the collections lifecycle.

The insights analyst will be providing intelligence to identify opportunities to enhance the collections experience through designing, tracking, reporting and monitoring outcomes and root cause themes from the team.

Main key accountabilities of this role

What you'll be doing:

- Creation, management & support of ETL of data reporting assets / data pipelines for the complex collections team, including into workflow management tools
- Management and development of data governance framework for all reporting assets
- Elevate the use of analytics to enhance and optimise our collections capability to maximise debt coverage and collections outcomes
- Coach and collaborate with analysts and specialists to drive measurable collection outcomes via analytical and statistical capabilities
- Optimise & automate analytics processes, including Data extraction, transformation and delivery for the purposes of generating repeatable intelligence to monitor initiative outcomes
- Work with key stakeholders to define, prioritise and deliver effective analytics over the team's core functional responsibility areas.

About You

What you'll bring to the table:

- Experience in data extraction, transformation and formatting skills (from SQL based databases/platforms e.g. MS SQL Server, SAP HANA)
- Experience in data/analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R Studio or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in analytical roles providing insight and implementing business outcomes based on recommendations
- Demonstrated ability of utilising data and analytics to deliver measurable cashflow protection or revenue generation for a large customer facing organisation
- Expertise in using extremely large, complex data sets to draw conclusions and effectively communicate findings with technical & non-technical teams, including senior stakeholders
- Expertise in visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or equivalent
- A strong understanding of credit management principles would be advantageous
- Tertiary qualification in Business / IT / Commerce /Engineering would be advantageous
