**The Role**

Reporting to the Head of Ash Strategy - Major Asset Life Cycle, the Ash Commercial Manager is responsible for the commercial oversight and management of existing Ash contracts in addition to playing a crucial part in the development and implementation of the ash reuse and recycling strategy as part of the overall transition of Eraring Power Station, located in New South Wales

Drawing upon a track record of success, knowledge, experience and commercial expertise, the Ash **Commercial Manager** will also provide organisational and cultural leadership to the MALCLT, and the wider Generation and Development (G&D) team. This is an on-site position where engagement with key stakeholders and operational teams will be critical to success.

The role is accountable for prioritising, planning, integrating, and organising all activities relating to the Eraring Ash, reporting and recycling opportunities and ensuring alignment to the broader functional team and strategic goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:
With commercial management responsibility and accountability for an Annual Operating Budget of $5m, Annual Sales Revenue of $2m and Capital Expenditure budget of $10m this role requires the incumbent to be an operationally, technically, financially and commercially astute and creative team player. As an active member of the Major Asset Life Cycle Team in the Generation & Development Business Unit the primary responsibilities will involve strategy design and goal setting to deliver existing and yet to be identified recycling projects. A commercial manager with innovative skills and the enthusiasm to realise them. This will encompass:

- Identification and strategic design and implementation of recycling projects and opportunities.
- Budgeting, monitoring and reporting of project costs and identification of significant deviations which could potentially impact the delivery of ash recycling projects.
- Liaison with, and influencing of the operations, maintenance, and engineering groups to maximise the availability of CCP (Coal Combustion Product) plant to provide product to Origin's ash customers and secure sales revenue targets
- Identifying, managing, and reporting on CCP sale and recycling risks ensuring compliance of ash sales and deliveries with state and local regulatory requirements including maintenance certification and calibration of equipment and weigh bridges

**Is This You?**
- Degree in Engineering, Science or Business with a minimum of ten (10) years extensive operational experience in energy, resources/mining or heavy industry supported by a minimum of 5 years' experience within a commercial leadership role.
- Thorough understanding and experience in the management of budgets, including sales and ability to negotiate, engage and secure contract agreements
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills gained from proven experience interfacing with a complex internal and external Stakeholder base
- Solid commercial awareness and contract management skills, able to negotiate and secure agreements and future business in line with strategic objectives and goals
- An innovative thinker able to develop ideas into business cases and opportunities which will move the business forward through its transition stage.
