The Head of Operational Risk Assessments is responsible for the design, management and ongoing refinement of NAB's financial crime risk assessment framework across the enterprise that:
- Supports NAB to identify, understand, mitigate and manage financial crime risks
- Support NAB and its customers to grow safely
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Execute NAB's financial crime risk assessment framework, including:
- Development, maintenance and monitoring of NAB's customer, product, channel, jurisdiction and employee role risk assessment models.
- Support business and enabling units to implement risk assessments across the enterprise.
- Meet NAB's regulatory requirements in Australia and overseas
- Lead and contribute to innovation and transformation across the business, specifically focused on the development of a dynamic risk assessment (DRA) strategy that:
- Harnesses data, intelligence and open-source information to inform risk assessment methodology and improvement.
- Reduces impacts to customers and NAB business units.
- Support the execution of NAB's Remediation Action Plan and response to the AUSTRAC-NAB Enforceable Undertaking.
- Build and maintain relationships across the NAB enterprise, with government agencies, financial institutions and other parties that support delivery and improvement of NAB's financial crime risk assessment framework.
- Leaders at all levels will be expected to ensure their teams are clear, capable and motivated:
- Clear about purpose, values, goals and plans, expectations and processes, and the boundaries of ethical decision making
- Capable with the right talent, time, tools and skills to do their work, with leaders expected to manage resources (people, budgets, assets and time) effectively and coach teams to build competence and confidence
- Motivated by leaders who build trust, inclusive teams and a psychologically safe environment, track results, and provide clear follow-up and feedback.

- Strong decision quality skills and financial management experience
