The purpose of this role is to:

- build people capability across the organisation through the successful attraction, retention, engagement and development of talent at Riverside Marine; and
- support our Businesses manage their relationship with their marine crews.

This role will provide an advisory function to Executives, Departmental Managers, General Managers and Senior Management on recruitment and selection, performance feedback cycles, training and assessment, career development and indigenous engagement. This also encompasses creating and managing a calendar of events and activities to encourage employee health and wellbeing initiatives, fostering social connectedness within the Riverside Marine community. Above day-to-day advisory support, this role will be critical in the strategic review of processes, procedures and systems in order to optimise people management and development practices. This role will be critical in driving organisational-wide programs as relates to people and culture, to ensure continuous improvement.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the Strategic Plan of Riverside Marine around enhancing people capability at all levels. This includes developing initiatives and programs encompassing:

- recruitment and selection;
- goal-setting and coaching for performance:

- education and assessment:

- training, learning and development needs
- Utilise coaching skills to advise and train General Managers and Quality Connectors on recruitment and selection activities
- Oversee the standardisation of employee induction at all levels, through working with General Managers and Quality Connectors to develop an onboarding program and associated induction processes
- Develop and facilitate workshops aimed at building team-capability, better work practices, and appreciation for diversity in group decision making (personalities, working styles) as needed
- Develop a talent management pathway (for emerging leaders at all levels).
- Develop a Learning Management Systems to support functions
- Contribute to the creation and promotion of organisational health and wellbeing initiatives, aimed at fostering better physical and mental performance
- Maintain the relevance and intent of our crewing Partnership model through contract reviews and working closely with General Managers supporting them in ensuring the model is delivering to a high expected standard
- Develop and update People related policies and procedures.
- Manage the annual Engagement Survey process and feedback messaging

**Key Skills & Experience**

**Highly Desirable**:

- Strong understanding of organisation psychology and best practice frameworks, processes and evidence-based techniques which maximise people capability and performance across the employee lifecycle
- A solid understanding of employment legislation
- Demonstrated success contributing to an organisational "_people and culture_" strategic plan, through delivery of targeted programs, education, and training which positively impacted on people alignment and capability.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, in order to develop and release high-level documents to the wider business and translate strategic and technical concepts into user-friendly guides
- Strong observational skills, allowing you to recognise opportunities within the business and how your strategies may be implemented within the shifting
- Excellent time-management skills in order to manage events calendars alongside project workload and day-to-day workload.

**Desirable**:

- Qualifications in Business, Organisational Development, or Psychology. Further qualifications in Training and Assessment and/or leadership coaching and employment matters desirable.
- Highly driven individual, with a positive attitude and growth-focused orientation to professional learning and development.
- Highly adaptable individual, who enjoys variety in their role and is able to manage multiple projects at any one time.
- Creative and demonstrates a good understanding of social media platforms and how to market ideas and events to increase engagement.
