The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team.
This is a client-facing role responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of bookkeeping, compliance, and reporting services across our client base.
You'll work closely with our junior accountants, oversee the quality of deliverables, and act as the interface between our internal team and the client whilst working closely with the Managing Director.
This role would ideally suit someone looking for greater flexibility and work-life balance—whether you're returning to the workforce, seeking reduced hours from a corporate role, or looking for a more meaningful connection with your clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end bookkeeping and month-end reporting for a portfolio of clientsReview and quality-check work completed by junior accountants (including reconciliations and coding)Manage and deliver compliance obligations such as BAS, IAS, Superannuation, and PayrollAct as the main point of contact for clients—answering ad hoc queries, resolving issues, and providing clear communicationSupport the Managing Director with financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc client needsEnsure client satisfaction by maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and communicationIdentify potential improvements in client processes and highlight opportunities for growth or efficiency About YouMinimum 8 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management, ideally in a client-facing or review role.CPA/CA qualified or equivalent professional designation preferredExperience using accounting software (Xero essential; experience with add-ons like Dext, Hubdoc, or Fathom is a bonus)Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors before work is submitted to clientsExcellent communication skills—both written and verbalStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesConfident working independently and problem-solving with initiativeA client-centric mindset with a genuine interest in helping businesses improve their financial performance Why Join Us?
