We are on a mission to build a best in class inside sales function to re-ignite growth aspirations, to better leverage and maximise the benefits of marketing campaigns and to build relationships with high value SME clients, providing important intelligence and support to the various online and call centre teams within WEX that provide services to this segment.

The Opportunity

The Inside Sales Team Leader is charged with developing and managing inside/telesales representatives who are responsible for closing sales over the phone, as well as influencing product design, pricing and customer service functions within the WEX APAC Fleet business. Part of the development and management of the team includes designing and administering the inside/telesales representatives' sales incentive plan, providing training, mentoring, coaching, and hiring suitable representatives as the function grows.

The Job
- Contribute to the development of, and manage the team to, a set of target customer journeys and a sales playbook or similar
- Provide leadership, coaching and development of a highly functioning team (initially 3 FTE), with skills that span:

- Product knowledge
- Core sales skills including prospecting, researching, active listening, rapport building, conflict management, problem solving, closing
- Time management
- Technology including CRM
- Building good internal relationships
- Day to day operational running of team, managing operating rhythm and ensuring achievement of key KPI's
- Agree and review annual objectives, conduct regular 1-2-1s, highlighting areas where additional training is required
- Manage and motivate all Inside Sales Reps to achieve customer excellence (and a resulting improvement in NPS in the segment)
- Recruit, retain and develop top talent and mentor new starters
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to improve customer experience in all aspects of SME engagement, which may include product, pricing, technology, customer service or other areas of WEX

The Person
- Possess a minimum of 3+ years' previous experience of leading a team in a Call Centre or Telesales environment.
- Proven track record in coaching and developing new and experienced sales people
- Lead by example and ability to motivate a team
- Able to evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement
- Highly organised, can delegate responsibilities and plan workload for team effectively
- Ability to deliver excellent results in fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to become an expert in the products and services WEX offers to Fleet customers, and the markets in which it operates
- Ideally experience in standing up a successful Call Centre or Inside Sales function would be highly desirable.
