Are you a skilled and compassionate handyman looking for a rewarding, short-term contract?
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team for a four-week contract at a local aged care facility.In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring residents' living environment is safe, comfortable, and well-maintained.
We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in general repairs but also has a patient and respectful demeanor when interacting with the elderly residents.Key Responsibilities:Perform general maintenance and repairs including basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.Conduct minor painting, plastering, and touch-ups.Assemble and install furniture or fixtures as needed.Complete routine safety checks and address any maintenance issues promptly.Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.We are looking for someone with:Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.A broad range of skills in general household and building repairs.A compassionate and respectful attitude towards the elderly.Reliability and a strong work ethic.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.A current police check or willingness to obtain one.This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
