**About the Role**
They are currently seeking an experienced Underwriter to join their team in Sydney CBD with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 12month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain data in the Builder Eligibility Assessment Tool
- Analysis of company financial statements
- Complete underwriting assessment, delivering and communicating eligibility decisions
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Respond to disputes and complaints to ensure outcomes are in the best interest of HBCF scheme
- Identify and mitigate any solvency risks
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements

**About You**
- Demonstrated Commercial credit risk analysis and insolvency experience
- Home Building Compensation Insurance experience advantageous
- Home Warranty Insurance, Financial Credit Risk, Credit Insurance or Public Sector experience desirable
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Sound analytical and assessment skills
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
- Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary Qualifications or Underwriting experience
- CPA or CA Qualifications
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
