Overview
As a Cost Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering financial analysis and cost management support across production at our Avalon site.
This includes preparing accurate cost estimates and forecasts, analysing production costs, and ensuring effective budget control.
You'll collaborate with stakeholders to provide insights, maintain cost control systems, and support informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for project planning and management
Analysing production costs, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions to ensure projects stay on budget
Providing regular cost reporting and performance analysis
Collaborating with key stakeholders to gather and analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights
Implementing and maintaining effective cost control systems and processes
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience of cost / project accounting within the manufacturing industry is preferred
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, financial and variance analysis
Proficiency in using financial software and data analysis tools, such as SAP, Excel
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
