Job Title: Financial Planner and Cost Analyst

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled financial planner and cost analyst to join our team. As a financial planner and cost analyst, you will be responsible for developing and validating detailed cost estimates for our services.
  • You will lead the development of financial models to support new capabilities and emerging projects, and deliver financial insights to support directors in identifying cost efficiencies and productivity improvements.
  • Your role will involve supporting business case development with ROI and cost-benefit analysis, monitoring budgets, forecasting expenditures, and reporting on cost variances.
  • You will collaborate with finance and IMT teams to align financial planning with operational service delivery, and contribute to cross-branch initiatives with a focus on cost optimisation and improved resource allocation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in cost modelling, financial forecasting, and business case support.
  • A strong understanding of IMT services and investment analysis in a government context.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with operational and project stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • CPA/CA qualification is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a Victorian Government department or statutory authority is highly regarded.
