This will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia which will host all flight services in a central location giving passengers a seamless, world-class travel experience.The Perth Airport estate is spread over 2100 hectares and has developed a $1.5 billion portfolio of existing industrial premises and significant vacant land holdings.We service a truly diverse community and play an important role in strengthening cultural, family and social bonds while supporting business, tourism and leisure travel.Our safety team are currently looking for an enthusiastic Safety Business Partner to work on major upcoming projects.What you'll do:Reporting to the Senior Safety Business Partner and supported by the collaborative WHS team, you will be tasked with providing advice and support to the Perth Airport Projects & Development team with respect to all WHS related matters including the delivery of safety improvement initiatives and WHS policies and procedures.You will be responsible for ensuring Perth Airport and its Contractors comply with all regulatory requirements and company standards in respect of its WHS obligations.
You will be required to initiate and lead where appropriate the investigation of significant WHS incidents.
You will support the wider business by ensuring effective reporting and through championing the implementation of WHS initiatives to mitigate WHS risks from materialising.You will also uphold responsibility for the integration of Perth Airport WHS requirements into contractor management processes to ensure all Perth Airport's contractors adequately manage their health and safety risks and obligations.
Promotion of a strong and effective Safety Culture is at the heart of everything we do.About you:Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety (WHS), with a minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in the field.Possess a strong grasp of WHS legislation and how it applies within complex operational settings.Demonstrated experience in large, multifaceted environments, ideally involving infrastructure or high-risk industries.Certified in ICAM or Taproot methodologies, with a proven track record in leading detailed incident investigations.Ideally hold formal training and assessment credentials to support internal capability building.Communicate clearly and effectively, with a collaborative approach that brings diverse stakeholders together to achieve safety outcomes.Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Committed to WHS excellence, leading by example and maintaining composure and focus under pressure.About us:We offer a dynamic and supportive team culture, a contemporary workplace with great facilities and a modern approach to work/life integration.
