Purpose
The Manager Health Equity will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to play a pivotal role in delivering the objectives of Victoria's public health system reform, fostering a focus on trust and confidence, social determinants of health, intergenerational wellbeing, and the principles of value-based health care.
Key accountabilities

**Operating at value range 1, you will**:

- Provide high quality strategic advice and thought leadership to guide the development and implementation of leading practice and contemporary approaches to engagements and partnerships with agencies that serve Victorian communities experiencing health inequities.
- Develop, strengthen and leverage collaborative working relationships across multiple organisations (government and non-government) that interact with cohorts and communities that experience health disadvantages, to better understand the social, economic and environmental determinants of health in order to drive a 'public health in all policies' approach across Victoria.
- Incorporate value-based health care principles into the design and implementation of engagement frameworks and strategic programs.
- Support colleagues to maintain a strong partnership with the Aboriginal Health Division, including by facilitating information sharing and collaboration with staff embedded in the Aboriginal Health Division
- Lead the development of key activities required to inform program development in partner organisations such as LPHUs, such as developing frameworks and tools, conducting mapping exercises, needs assessments and evidence reviews to ensure we are building on, aligning with and adding value to the work of others to identify and address equity issues
- Oversee and support the communications and engagement related to multi-region and cross-jurisdictional health threats (including environmental or communicable disease). Clear and consistent engagement and communications with community and sector across LPHU regions is essential to ensure local and statewide trust and confidence
- Lead the collaboration and co-design of services and programs with a diverse cross section of the community to ensure that our public health effort delivers outcomes that are valuable to people and communities, with a focus on identified higher-risk communities
