About You

As part of the Olivet Care Team the Lifestyle assistant is encouraged to join the planning of the program by sharing ideas and responsible for delivery of social and recreational programs to support older residents living in the community to maintain and enhance their social connectedness and independence

Duties of the role

You will promote and assist our residents to participate in meaningful activities.
Maintaining friendly and supportive professional relationships.
Ensure programs and activities are culturally relevant to people from the CALD community.
Ability to drive our mini
- bus and take our residents to a nice excursion.
Develop and work within the individual client care plans.
Support clients in their daily activities and attendance.
Maintains a client centred approach to service delivery.
Assist and maintain a clean, safe environment for guests and staff.
Assist with assessments, review and the ongoing evaluation of residents cultural, recreational and leisure needs and lifestyle interests.
Taking a reasonable care for your health and safety and others
Not to be under the influence and/ or use of alcohol or drugs while at work

What you will need to be successful

Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
Excellent Communication skills and ability to share empathy and understanding to our residents and their families.
Outstanding customer service by maintain friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with residents. Their families and other staff members
Can do attitude, good verbal, and communication skills.
Basic Computer Skills and ability to use Olivet Care software products as required.
Time management skills and problem-solving ability
Knowledge and experience in a memory support program is highly regarded.
NDIS Screening Check
NDIS Orientation Module for new worker
Covid 19 Vaccination
Have a full Australian working Rights.
