Lawyer - Medical Insurance, General Liability And Institutional Abuse

Overview
We are seeking experienced lawyers to join the Insurance Litigation team in Melbourne on a full-time basis. The role involves providing exceptional legal advice to clients, conducting defence as required, assisting senior lawyers, and appearing in court. You will work closely with supervising partners and senior staff, with mentoring as part of day-to-day file management. You will gain exposure to a range of matters including medical negligence, personal injury, common law claims and coronial inquests, and you will be encouraged to participate in firm activities and committees.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional legal advice to clients and conduct defence as required.
Assist supervising partners, senior lawyers, and manage day-to-day running of files.
Appear in court where required.
Engage in matters related to medical negligence, personal injury, common law claims, and coronial inquests.
Collaborate with a highly regarded, supportive team and participate in firm activities and committees.
Qualifications
12 months plus post-qualification experience with a litigation background.
Experience in private practice on matters relating to medical malpractice, public health, personal injury, WorkCover, or institutional liability is preferred.
Hardworking, dedicated, and possess a high level of integrity when dealing with clients and colleagues.
Excellent client service, strong organisation, and superior written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
