**About the Role**:
As the Principal Advisor in the Office of the Deputy Director-General, you will be required to provide high level advice and support to the division and senior management team, manage the dissemination of strategic information, provide strategic financial analysis, identify issues, and lead, manage and develop staff to deliver outcomes.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Provide high level advice, support and quality assurance to the division to ensure critical strategic and financial analysis of documents and processes, including reports, papers, and submissions, as well as manage the preparation of responses to the annual cycle of corporate strategic, divisional budgeting and reporting requirements.
- Manage the dissemination of strategic information across the division, including the coordination of corporate processes for the division, such as corporate reporting, annual estimates processes and operational planning ensuring all stakeholders are able to contribute to strategic directions, policies and procedures.
- Identify issues and provide strategic advice to the Director on matters impacting the division, based on an assessment of issues within our divisional context through high level research, analysis, reports, and submissions.
- Monitor, analyse and evaluate activities and work practices, inform future planning, and ensure alignment with the Deputy Director-General, Director-General, and Minister's priorities.
- Lead, manage and develop staff to deliver outcomes consistent with organisational directives, encouraging commitment, professional growth and continuous improvement.
