Role Details
Perilya is seeking an experienced
Senior Mine Planning Engineer
to join our underground mining team in Broken Hill.
You'll shape the future of our underground operations. This position offers the opportunity to influence strategy, drive innovation, and deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective mine plans that make a real impact on site performance.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop and optimise underground mine plans that are safe, efficient, and aligned with both operational and long-term strategic goals.
Collaborate closely with geology, technical services, and operations to ensure seamless integration of mine planning activities.
Provide high-level technical input to support critical operational decision-making.
Champion continuous improvement by introducing innovative planning solutions and best practice methodologies.
Ensure all mine designs comply with statutory, safety, and environmental requirements.
What You Will Bring
You are a highly skilled Underground Mine Planning Engineer with strong leadership capabilities and a track record of delivering technical excellence. You thrive on problem-solving, collaboration, and mentoring others. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
A Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
5–10 years' underground mine planning experience in complex operations.
Strong proficiency in Vulcan and Deswik software.
A demonstrated commitment to safety, innovation, and operational excellence.
