The opportunity:
As the Business Pricing Actuary, you will provide pricing support and product advice to assist in the delivery of optimal profitable, strategic and innovative pricing solutions for AIA's Retail business.

This is a 12-month max term contract opportunity based in Melbourne or Sydney.

To do this successfully you will:
- Provision of pricing support, profit testing, financial information and advice on the Retail product, terms and conditions ensuring the terms are consistent with the AIA philosophy- Develop, review, enhance and improve the efficiency of the pricing models and the pricing process- Review experience investigation results and liaise with the Finance team on assumption setting and advice as part of the product development process- Monitor the competitive market by the continuing to develop and maintain competitive pricing intelligence models- Prepare pricing reports, file Notes and communication of pricing and product results and analysis to internal stakeholders- Collaborate with the Reinsurance team to develop the reinsurance strategy and support negotiations with the reinsurers. Analyse and review the reinsurance arrangements- Participate in the due diligence process for client, reinsurance and policy documents- You hold a tertiary qualification in Actuarial Studies (or equivalent) and are a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute (Australia) or a comparable international body- Pricing experience, ideally within Life Insurance or Financial Services- You take initiative, effectively manage stakeholder expectations, and thrive in dynamic environments- You take full ownership of your work and are accountable for delivering impactful outcomes- You're skilled at synthesising complex data from multiple sources to craft innovative, data-backed solutions
