We are seeking anElectrical Maintenance Apprenticeto join the company.
The role involves learning key maintenance skills to assist the maintenance department in maintaining equipment and facilities on-site.
Working alongside skilled employees, apprentices will gain valuable knowledge and job-specific skills.
What you will do in your working day
The company is developing its apprenticeship programme and aims to recruit an apprentice for the Maintenance Department.
The role includes learning and understanding:
Ensuring all work is carried out safely, in accordance with company, Textron, and EH&S regulations and legislation.
Fault finding individually and as part of a team.
Diagnosing and replacing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
Installation and connection of services.
Performing routine and reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities.
Carrying out PPM / TPM activities.
Updating maintenance records on the CMMS.
The training you will receive
The apprentice will work towards the Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship Standard.
College attendance will be at Colchester Institute – Colchester Campus, one day per week during term time.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Completion of a minimum of three to five years of training, achieving a Level 3 qualification.
Successful completion could lead to a permanent role within the Facilities Department.
