Are you currently studying a Cert IV or higher qualification in a Community Services or Youth related field? Edmen's Kickstart Program could be the perfect opportunity to get you started in the industry. Our Kickstart Program provides eligible students with the opportunity to complete placement hours fully paid while you study, with ongoing work available once your placement has finished.

**? About You: ?**
Enrolment into a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Youth Work, Social Work or similar

Australian Drivers Licence (P2 or higher)

Working with Children Check (Blue card)

Current First Aid & CPR certificate

The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required

**?About the Position: ?**
As a Residential Youth Worker, you'll be part of something extraordinary. You will provide day-to-day assistance, guidance, support and empowerment to help young people achieve their goals.

The role is a casual opportunity offering flexible work arrangements, consistent work and a healthy work-life balance.

**?Responsibilities: ?**
Your responsibilities will include:

- Establish a secure and nurturing home environment for at-risk young people
- Offer guidance and support with personal care requirements including meal assistance and hygiene routines
- Provide transportation for school, appointments and community activities
- Foster the development of skills and socialisation within the local community, alongside promoting positive pro-social peer interactions
- Support in the administration of medications and associated reporting requirements for children on Child Protection orders
- Provide trauma-informed care to young people who display complex behavioural issues and traumatic backgrounds
- Engage in the Trauma Recovery practice framework and undertake Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within the first three months of your employment
