Job Description The primary role of a Designated Trading Representative (DTR) is to deliver consistent high-quality trading execution and to manage order flow for our institutional equities client base.Key Performance OutcomesConsistent, timely, high quality equities trading executionManagement of internal counterparties to co-ordinate flow and ensure best execution outcomesDiligent order creation and being mindful of regulatory data requirementsOngoing communication and engagement with sales trading, research sales, research analystsOngoing provision of market trading insights to the equity sales desk to manage client expectations and aid in additional order generationSome direct client engagement regarding executions/reportings and provision of trading and market insightsOngoing market analysis for stock ideas and to identify trading and liquidity opportunitiesEnsure compliance with ASX operating rules & regulations and completion of internal training obligationsOngoing involvement in process improvement and system developments Desired Skills and Experience Skills you will bring to the role:BehavioralPassionate about equity markets with a keen interest in trading and executionExcellent communication/interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail with a good work ethicProblem-solving skillsResults driven with a continuous improvement mindset, able to set priorities to meet deadlines and client focused outcomesStrong team focus with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment at your own initiativeAbility to be proactive when issues ariseTechnicalUnderstanding of financial services/market terminologyProficient in use of technology with good knowledge of Microsoft applications and market data/execution platforms advantageousPrevious ExperienceRelevant Tertiary QualificationMiddle/front office equities exposure preferredDTR accreditation - ideally with a minimum of 1-2 years experienceIn return we can offer a dynamic, high-performance culture where you can enjoy professional growth, and an inclusive and collaborative environment where we minimise bureaucracy, empowering you to thrive professionally as you contribute to our client-focused success.
