We are located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales.
At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia's deepest underground mines.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.

We're opening our doors for our mid-year graduate intake and are looking for enthusiastic and driven Mining Engineers and Geotechnical Engineers to join our Technical Services team at our operation in Cobar NSW.
About the Opportunity :
This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience and mentorship in a fast-paced underground mining environment.
As a valued member of our team, you'll work closely with experienced professionals who are passionate about developing the next generation of mining talent.
We're looking for :
Recent graduates (or students completing their degree mid-2025) in :
Mining Engineering
Geotechnical / Geological Engineering
You'll gain experience in :
Underground mine design, scheduling, and production planning
Ground support design, monitoring, and geotechnical risk management
Exposure to cutting-edge mining software and data-driven decision making
Working in a close-knit, collaborative team with strong mentoring support
For mining engineers, this is a direct line for practical underground experience towards completion of a Mine Manager's ticket
Conditions :
This is a 5 / 2, 4 / 3 residential-only roster.
You will be required to move to Cobar for the duration of your graduate program if you are successful for this position.
However, paid relocation assistance is provided to assist the successful applicant.
CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependents.
Location :
Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions.
Entertainment options include restaurants, pubs, and clubs for dining out.
You will be kept busy with a bowling and golf club, rugby and rugby league teams, race club, pony club, Olympic size swimming pool, gym – and more
The town boasts beautiful parks, two reservoirs, picnic areas and playgrounds.
The youth club 'Youthie' is a vibrant children's hub with a games room, gym and weights room, squash courts, sauna, indoor stadium, outdoor basketball court and a skate park.
