15th September, 2025 UON Energy for Every Future UON is a Western Australian integrated energy company providing turnkey energy and water solutions to the mining sector and beyond.We have a variety of ongoing opportunities for Poly Welder / Operators to join our onsite projects teams on a 2:1 Roster, paid fortnightly.To be successful in this role you will need: A minimum of 12+ months post qualification experience working as Poly welder / operator in all aspects of butt and electrofusion welding ideally in similar mine/construction environment.
A minimum of 12+ months experience using a variety of Poly welding equipment and procedures specifically (McElroy -T618, T500, T900 and Dixon welder).
Mine site exposure experience.
Ability to complete hydrotesting operations of HDPE.
Self-efficient in welding operations with desire / experience coordinating a small poly crew.
Self-efficient in general earth works.
Competent in interpretating HDPE and Civil construction drawings.
BHP, RIO and FMG inducted (desirable).
Essential Tickets: HR Drives Licence White / Blue Card Construction Current Chainsaw Ticket Current High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (LF) Current High Risk Work Licence - Dogging (DG) Valid Load restraint training (Secure Cargo & Load and unload Goods / Cargo) Valid Operating Tickets - Excavator (LE), IT Loader, Skid steer loader (LS) Desirable Tickets: Current High Risk Work Licence - C6 - Up to 60 tonne capacity slewing crane, Basic Rigging (RB), or Elevating Work Platforms (EWP) Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) Training Cardiopulmonary Perform Resuscitation (CPR) Training First Aid Training Current Nationally Accredited Confined Space Ticket Chain of Responsibility – Drivers Training What UON can offer you.
