We have a variety of ongoing opportunities for Poly Welder / Operators to join our onsite projects teams on a 2:1 Roster, paid fortnightly.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A minimum of 12+ months post qualification experience working as Poly welder / operator in all aspects of butt and electrofusion welding ideally in similar mine/construction environment.
  • A minimum of 12+ months experience using a variety of Poly welding equipment and procedures specifically (McElroy -T618, T500, T900 and Dixon welder).
  • Mine site exposure experience.
  • Ability to complete hydrotesting operations of HDPE.
  • Self-efficient in welding operations with desire / experience coordinating a small poly crew.
  • Self-efficient in general earth works.
  • Competent in interpretating HDPE and Civil construction drawings.
  • BHP, RIO and FMG inducted (desirable).

  • HR Drives Licence
  • White / Blue Card Construction
  • Current Chainsaw Ticket
  • Current High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (LF)
  • Current High Risk Work Licence - Dogging (DG)
  • Valid Load restraint training (Secure Cargo & Load and unload Goods / Cargo)
  • Valid Operating Tickets - Excavator (LE), IT Loader, Skid steer loader (LS)

Desirable Tickets:

  • Current High Risk Work Licence - C6 - Up to 60 tonne capacity slewing crane, Basic Rigging (RB), or Elevating Work Platforms (EWP)
  • Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) Training
  • Cardiopulmonary Perform Resuscitation (CPR) Training
  • First Aid Training
  • Current Nationally Accredited Confined Space Ticket
  • Chain of Responsibility – Drivers Training
