About our programs
Recruitment journey — Applications online. Resumes screened; shortlisted applicants invited to an online interview. Shortlisted applicants may meet the team manager for further insights into the role and company. Campus presence at UNSW, UTS, Macquarie, Sydney University, CA and more.
Intake dates — We recruit throughout the year to suit business needs and can start at any time.
Mentor/buddy scheme — A buddy is assigned to help you settle in during your first week and to guide you through the early career stage with support from experienced professionals.
Training/learning — On-the-job training delivered by experts within the business and external providers. Online learning via LinkedIn and foundational career skills resources are provided.
The Graduate position
A Graduate position is a permanent full-time role where you are given training and the opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career.
Graduate positions are open to students who have graduated within the last 15 months.
About the role
Graduates assist the team by learning the basics of audit, setting up audit files, requesting initial and further audit documents from clients, and assisting team members with testing key balances.
Graduates report to seniors and managers any findings identified within an audit engagement on a regular basis.
Graduates gain an understanding of client drivers through engagement with clients before and during the audit engagement to identify key processes and material balances that could impact the audit opinion and financial statements.
Graduates gain exposure to the Forvis Mazars audit methodology through online training (U-Learn), reading the manual, and querying seniors and managers to apply the methodology to their work.
Graduates have opportunities to engage with key client stakeholders by holding meetings to discuss key processes and attending audit meetings such as the audit kick-off and close meeting, and may engage with executives and shareholders depending on reporting requirements.
About You
Completed or nearing completion of a Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting
Full working rights for Australia
Willing to undertake or currently undertaking the Chartered Accountants Program (or CPA)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work full-time as a Graduate
Be able to get to our North Sydney office at least three days a week
