Role Summary
We are seeking a Data Governance Expert to lead the development of our data governance strategy and framework. This is a rare opportunity to define how data is managed, protected, and leveraged for business value within an organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish a comprehensive data governance framework aligned with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
Define roles, responsibilities, and ownership models across data domains.
Develop and implement policies, standards, and data controls, including quality, classification, access, and lifecycle management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote data accountability and literacy.
Work with technology partners to implement or optimise governance tooling.
Track governance KPIs and maturity levels, reporting regularly to senior leadership.
Act as the key governance lead on initiatives relating to privacy, compliance, AI readiness, and data quality.
This role requires strong expertise in data governance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence data culture across the organisation.
